This topic discusses how to use the General page to configure various search-related settings. You also use the General page to rebuild the tags search index.
Click Save to keep any changes that you have made and apply your changes immediately. If you have made changes but have not yet clicked Save, you can click Cancel to restore the previously-saved settings.
Use the Analysis Sample Size area to specify
the number of top tagged search results that the Tagging Engine scans when determining
the popular and related tags to display in the tag lists/tag clouds of
the Search pages, Tagging Engine Items portlet,
and Tagging Engine People portlet.
The Analysis Sample Size area also specifies the number of top results
Email Notification Time
Users can choose to receive an email notification with the results of a saved search. Select a time from the Notification time drop-down box to specify when saved search email notifications are sent each day. Users specify how frequently they receive email notifications on the Tagging Engine Preferences page. For more information on saved search email notifications, see Saved Search Email Notifications.
Use the Tag Rebuild area to delete then repopulate all tags in the search index. This operation also removes tags that were applied to items that were subsequently deleted from the Oracle WebCenter Interaction and Oracle WebCenter Collaboration. You may want to perform a tag rebuild when you are concerned that the Tagging Engine database and search index are out of sync.
Click Start to execute the rebuild operation.
Note: When an item or person is re-indexed, the tags that are associated to the item or person are temporarily dropped from the search index until the next Tag Rebuild operation is performed. For this reason, we recommend that you run the Tag Rebuild operation as often as necessary.
