Submit a Document

The Submit a Document tab allows you to submit documents and Web pages to the Knowledge Directory. Submitted documents and Web pages are searchable in the Tagging Engine, in addition to the portal in general. During the submission process you can add names, descriptions, and tags, all of which are searchable in the portal.

To submit a document or Web page:

  1. Select the Submit a Document tab.

  2. Perform one of the following:

  3. Click Choose a Portal Folder to launch the Choose a Portal Folder dialog box.

  4. Navigate to and select the Knowledge Directory folder into which you want to submit the document or Web page, then click OK.
You are returned to the Submit page.

  1. Perform one of the following:

  1. (optional) In the Name box, type the name that you want to be searchable in the portal.
If you do not type a document name, the Tagging Engine will create a document name for you.

  2. (optional) In the Description box, type the description that you want to be searchable in the portal.

  3. (optional) In the Tags box, type the names of the tags that you want to apply to the document or Web page, delimited by commas.

Note: Do not use quotation marks (") when creating tags with multiple words.
Correct example: environment, North America, conservation, Juanita Jackson, water quality
Incorrect example: environment, "North America", conservation, "Juanita Jackson", "water quality"

  1. Click Submit.
